Load JSON from a URL

Your browser fetches it directly; it does not pass through our servers. The site must allow cross-origin requests.

  3. 03

Search for a key or value, step through matches, and click any node to copy its path or value.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is JSONPath?

JSONPath is a short way to point at a value inside JSON, such as $.users[0].email. Click a node in the tree to copy its path for use in code, jq filters or test assertions.

Can the tree handle very large JSON?

Yes. The tree is virtualised, so only the visible rows are drawn. Files with hundreds of thousands of nodes stay smooth to scroll and search.

What do the badges next to each node mean?

Objects show {n} with their number of keys and arrays show [n] with their length. Primitive values are colour-coded by type: string, number, boolean or null.

Is my JSON uploaded to a server?

No. All parsing, formatting and validation happens in your browser with JavaScript. Nothing you paste or open is sent to us or stored on a server. Share links keep the JSON inside the URL fragment (after the #), which browsers never send to servers.
